And just to update: The dates have been pushed forward 1 week exactly, with us leaving on the 3rd of August, and potentially returning on the 8th.

Date. Date.

Clario?

Indeed! A day is more than spendable in and around the Duluth area. B&N MUST be visited, and yes, I would agree with Steven on all counts, here.

The vehicle quandary also needs solving; with 363 total required miles to travel, and some 10-50 additional in-between locomotion, we should select the vehicle based in part on the following criteria.

Miles Per Gallon, (>20-25)
Seating Space, (no fewer than 4)
Storage Space, (bikes? gear? food?)

Steve's (explorer?) SUV proposal is sound in the later 2 categories, but I am curious as to its MPG. The $25 estimate in the proposed budget itinerary is hedging on 2 $50 refuel stops through the course of the trip (including pre-departure expenses absorbed by the group for the sake of the vehicle's driver.)

In all honesty, I'd be fine with the SUV: primarily because we would be assured enough space for everything we'd need (and even want, probably.) $100 (combined total) for gas is really quite generous, and I'm almost positive we'd be able to make it there and back without any trouble (barring calamitous mechanical failure ;) [knocks on wood]).

!!!! Holy beJesus, I'm SUPER-pumped for this. So much D&D! And, just time and stuff! Awesome.

With all the stuff to do in Duluth, I say we give it a day. I could spend a day alone in Barnes and Noble. Plus, the Imax, great idea!!! Canal park always warrants a moments consideration as well.

The food all sounds very good as well. Plus Red Lobster is a must, even if I have to cover for people. I think if we bring a pack or two we can eat light lunches and explore all day.

I like the idea of movies. Some good B Films I should think. We can get anything and everything we need for D&D at the mall. We must play lots of it. We could even do so in the car I should think!

Side Note: We could also probably stay another day should we need it.

I will sort thru my Mage Knights for suitable D&D figures.

Very good, all of it. I like the calculations. This trip will be very played by ear. I think if we had a general itinerary in mind, and some stuff we wanted to do in no particular order, we would be set.
